Joke of the week....

Here is Evan telling a joke (I use that term lightly)...

Megan telling a joke...

Ice Skating Fun!

We are into ice skating this year. We have been various rinks around the city. Rundle park, City Hall, Legislature, Community Ice rink. We finally all have some skates...Evan has the kind that strap onto his boots, with the four blades.
At our community rink he has a chair that he pushes around...he loves to skate by himself. If he falls he jumps up and brushes himself off and goes right on skating. Thank goodness for the helmet to protect his noggin.

Megan in this picture, decided to not wear her skates this time round. She too is very good on the ice in skates.
We push Aaron in his stroller, that helps with our balance.
The temperature hasn't been too cold lately, so that makes skating even more enjoyable.

The Olympic Spirit...

I just couldn't resist a chance to see the Olympic flame again. I remember vaguely attending a similar rally when I was a child for the 1988 Calgary Olympics. I remember my Grandpa and Grandma Herget coming up to Innisfail...and they bought us a replica flame (a white candle that had a red upside down cup with the logo on it).

So we ventured out to Churchill square....can you say crowded? And we had a stroller in tow. They had pre-flame entertainment, then the lighting of the bigger flame?....does that make sense?

Here's a picture of our night...

Megan Highlights

This is just one of the things that Megan has been up to...
This puzzle activity seems to be Megan's Sunday activity. She got a 8 piece puzzle pack for Christmas. Both of these puzzles are small and 150 pieces...we will eventually work our way up to a 500 piece puzzle!

The excitment contiunes....Super Mario Bros was purchased. Megan and Evan play together pretty well, with the double player mode...What Evan can't do...Megan usually can and if one does well on a level, they both advance. It is a pretty fun game.

Snazzy couple

Who is this fabulous looking couple? ok ok you guessed it, it's us. This is the night of Spencer's work party. I found an awesome dressy pants outfit with a lovely shirt...Spencer just wore the usual suit that we already had. Gosh, my guy is so easy to dress...

We had our home teacher and his wife babysit for us and luck for both of us Aaron slept the whole time! We partied at the Sutton Place Hotel, cocktails, dinner buffet and then a dance. Next year we are planning on staying for atleast part of the dance...we have always had little kids that needed us in the past to have stayed for the dance. It was fun to get out and go on a date.
