Girlfriend
Surviving Teacher's Conference
To make these doughnuts...you buy the pillsbury biscut package. Flatten the dough slightly and cut a small hole in the middle. Fry in hot oil, until golden brown. Let your children sprinkle massive quantities of powdered sugar on doughnuts.

Counting my blessings....
- medicine that will make me better (I have a sinus infection...)
- Good health...when it will finally return
- a van to drive me and my kids where we need to go
- that my kids are in school and learning
- that my husband is a hard worker and can support us
- being a mom...people are surprised to learn that I have 3 kids...yes it keeps me busy
- Spring...I know that it is just around the corner
- sisters....I only wished that we lived closer
- bud-bud, he tells me many times through out the day that he loves me, and waits for my reply
- the end of each day...when my kids are tucked in and we are all safe and happy and warm and finally quiet!
Today
Anyways...the 24 is exciting because that is the day that I am trying to register for the Melissa's 10K Road Race in Banff for September....but I couldn't see the link on the web page....then I realized that oops! it is only the 23. So tomorrow at 7am...let the registeration begin.
If I look back on the past 7 years....after each of my children....I have challenged myself to a race. It is a great way to get back into shape and feel "normal" again. I ran the St. George Marathon twice after Megan and Evan and this year I'll take it easy and enjoy the beauty of the mountains and try running a 10Km (I've never done this distance). This distance is a bit more easily trainable with 3 kids and a busy husband.
I think that I am most excited for the weekend away that it will give us and the fact that I'll have a few running partners this year with me. (Although Megan has already said that she wasn't too eager to "travel" all the way to Banff....she asked if we could find a babysitter...sounds good to me.) Any takers out there?
Cross your fingers....that we get in! I'm excited!!!

Valentine's Day
Tulips...my favorite flower, a note and a pack of gum. (He really enjoys this gum, so I don't really know if this is more for him or me?) A very nice gift from the love of my life.
Megan was creative this year for her Valentine's to her classmates. She saw that I had numberous clean baby food jars over running my shelf, so she decided that she would like to decorate them and fill them with candy. I helped her make 16 of these...
Megan also celebrated the 100th day of school and had a school dance in the afternoon. Here is what she came home with...
For Evan's party...we made cupcakes...
There are lots of kids in Evan's preschool, so he also got alot of Valentines cards...
Spencer and I gave the kids a new Webkins and some hershey kisses and a card and a face cloth (the kind that expands in water). They both loved their Webkins...Megan a blue Googles and Evan a love monkey.
I surprised Spencer with a new watch...
We had a wonderful Valentine's Day weekend with our kids and extended family as we drove down to Calgary to spend some time with my family for the Family Day holiday.

AGA

These wavy things run through out the inside of the building as well...it represents the North Saskatchewan river...it looks pretty cool. The waves were made in the states at an airplane factory..then covered in sheet metal.
We missed a few exhibits, the Murder of Crows...it was an audio presentation about a murder, and you sat and listened to a story and the sounds...with kids no thanks. The Karsh exhibit was good, he is a world famous photographer from Canada, who has taken some iconic pictures of famous people...Winston Churchill, Albert Einstein....etc. There was a kids room, but it was extremely small and not a lot of things to do.
For being free, it was good....will we go back...probably not anytime soon.
Happy Un-birthday!
Here is one of his new skills...
